Snapchat is Rocking!
2016 brought a lots of surprises for many social network platforms. New research shows that some leading media buyers are choosing to advertise on Snapchat, Pinterest, Instagram rather than on Facebook.
Snapchat is a photo sharing service with a twist: the photo you send disappears.
Snapchat has shown huge growth. This social network has over 100 million users worldwide and 700 million snaps that are taken on a daily basis.
Only four percent of companies will advertise on Facebook according to the researchers.
“Snapchat is the one to watch out for and there is no doubt that ad buyers are putting money where their mouths are. With the recent claims that the platform is building out its API for ad partners, it looks like Snapchat’s ambition is to really build on its audiences across all verticals and demographics this year. Who wouldn’t want to be there for the start of that?” says Hayley Rosenberg, marketing manager at Amplify.
Pinterest and Instagram are also very popular. It is not a big surprise that both sites have big visual component.
