Mobile Accounts For 20% Of Facebook Ad Spend

According to recent research, one in every five pounds (20.3%) spent on Facebook advertising now targets mobile users despite its premium cost.

The considerable demand for Facebook’s mobile inventory comes despite mobile inventory being priced at 70 % higher than desktop inventory which cost $1.38 and $0.81 respectively.

The world’s top brands are said to have embraced Facebook mobile advertising, and it is expected that the channel will become gradually more competitive as new devices deliver enhanced interactive experiences.

Android is said to dominate Facebook spend on smartphones, commanding 71% of all spend, compared to iOS’ 29%.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, said that users of the social network’s mobile products are “more engaged” and that the company would be seeking to introduce new advertising products and improve the user experience on smartphones.
