The chatbot certainly doesn’t beat around the bush when trying to sell you the book. Once you get a recipe, a button appears at the bottom with the option to buy the new book.
The recipes given are the standard of any of Jamie’s that you would find elsewhere. Not only are there great recipes, but the instructions a very useful. Some even include videos showing you exactly what to do. The experience is very entertaining.
If you have ever made or played with a chatbot, you’ll probably know that it is very entertaining for the user to try to outsmart the bot. However, Jamie’s team have obviously considered this. If you try to type in anything that is not an emoji, you are met with the following message. ‘Ooo – That looks like letters! We only speak emoji, send us one and see what happens!’. This means that the chatbot can’t be broken by the user (easily) and should work well for all users.
Jamie’s new marketing tool is loads of fun to use for all ages, and is a great way to discover new recipes. Because it is easy to use and entertaining for the user, it is a fantastic marketing tool. Users are likely to tell their friends, too!
