How To Ensure You Don’t Miss Facebook Posts
A change made to Facebook means despite your news feed possible appearing to be full, you are probably not seeing posts from businesses and brand pages that you have liked.
A change to Facebook’s algorithm has determined what posts are seen by which users. With this in mind, read on for instructions on how to change these settings.
Some have suggested that the changes were made to improve users’ experience by making sure that businesses and brands post more interesting, engaging content. Others think that Facebook wants businesses and brands to spend money for advertising to reach more of its audience.
The good news is there is a quick fix to remedy this, but it is not yet available to all users. To ensure you receive all updates from a business or brand you have liked, visit its Facebook page. You then need to hover over the “Liked” button below the page’s cover photo, and a list of options will appear.
The top option is “Get Notifications.” By opting in, you will receive an alert in your Notifications centre whenever that particular page posts something new. You will also see the alert in the bottom-left of Facebook if you are currently logged in.
By clicking the second option, “Show in News Feed,” you ensure that all of the page’s posts will appear in your news feed.
