Facebook and New Ad Policy
Facebook recently updated there ad policy. First of all, If you don’t want this social platform to collect and use your data for ads outside of their platforms, you need to change your settings now. You can easy put stop to how much information you share or give away.
Consequently Facebook love to build a picture of who you are. Therefore this data is strangely valuable. This social platform has millions of subjects selected just for you based on your search history. Would you like to restrict them from getting this information?
Your Facebook ID is used in ads that other people can easy see. Apps had access to your public profile, friend list, email address, birthday, education history, hometown, interests, current city, personal description, likes.
Facebook also tracks your searches, what profiles you view, and where you go. To clear searches history you need to go to Timeline and click on ‘Activity Log’. Next ‘More’ link in the left column. Now scroll down and click on ‘Search’ and then select the ‘Clear Searches’ button.
Also from 2014 “When Location History is on, Facebook builds a history of your precise location, even when you’re not using the app.” If you are not happy about this just go to “More” button and click on “Nearby Friends” tap the small “gear” icon and choose “Location Settings” and switch location history off.
