Email Gif’s Boost Conversions
First of all, it’s well worth generating images that capture your business well and are engaging.
Less common though is using GIF’s in emails because GIF’s are files that contain a series of still pictures that ‘play’ like a scrap book to create movement.
Also, using GIF’s in emails has been found to sometimes dramatically increase conversions. It will improve clicks, throughs and purchases.
Consequently, research on a major campaign by Dell computers showed an ecommerce conversion rate improvement of over 100% compared to their average.
So here are some tips of how to use GIF’s.
You dont need to create an advanced animation. A small, compact GIF can be designed with just two frames to create greater, highly relevant visual interest.
For example a product image can switch to one with the word ‘Specials’ on it, or ‘Offer ends Friday’.
This makes it a lot easier to generate images for your email campaign.
In addition, one word of caution however, email clients like Outlook dont display GIF’s well. As a result you need to make sure that the first frame of the GIF is relevant.
Finally, GIF’s should not be over used. It should be relevant to your email message.
Most of all, use it to deliver a great, positive, upbeat message to your subscibers.
If you send your email campaigns from Mailchimp, you can also use a vast image library called Giphy and import directly from there, or add your own.
Most of all, it is safest to create your own as you could run the risk of copyright claims.
