In particular, colourful geometry is trending this year. Using shapes and diagonal lines to helps break up the grid of website layouts, making it more aesthetically pleasing to look at.
There is a long ongoing debate on whether dark backgrounds are a good thing for webpages. However, they are making their way back again.
It needs careful and well though out design to be pulled off, as it is a difficult thing to do.

Pastels have been popular all around lately. ‘Millennial pink’ and the winner of Pantone’s 2019 colour of the year, ‘Living Coral’ are examples of hugely popular colours. So, it is no surprise that they have blossomed into web design, too.
