Biggest AdWords Announcements in 2016

In 2016 Google brought plenty of changes to Google Shopping, the Search Network, and of course AdWords. Hence, implementation of new ad formats influence mobile optimization, and a countless list of others.

 

The most famous announcements are:

  1. Firstly, Google GTIN Requirements for Advertisers – A GTIN is an internationally recognized identifier for a item that helps Google understand exactly what advertisers are selling. GTINs it is Global Trade Item Number for products from a specific list of brands. Google has stated that GTINs will assist them in better understanding the types of products retailers are selling.
  2. ISO campaigns™ effect priority settings and negative keywords to isolate and allocate more aggressive bids and budget to certain high value searches. Search queries are performing well, and ISO Campaigns™ are one of the best ways to do that.
  3. Accelerated Mobile Pages. Slow load times are a major issue for online shoppers. AMP is going to continue to be adopted by site owners across the web. Accelerated Mobile Pages should help to solve these problem.
  4. Google announced that they were going to be removing text ads displayed on the right sight of the SERP on desktop search results. This change apply only to text ads.
  5. Seller Ratings and Product Reviews enhance Product Listing Ads. Google gathers seller ratings from reputable sources that aggregate business reviews. Start system works very well and impress customers.
  6. Finally, Expanded Text Ads, Responsive Ads, and Device Bid Adjustments. Advertisers now have the ability to highlight products or services. They witness nearly 50% increase in text space. It makes a lots of difference.
