AI and The Future of Healthcare
Artificial Intelligence is gradually making inroads into healthcare.
It’s a really exciting and useful application of advanced learning software.
It’s already a big part our lives in other areas. Online chatbots, finding routes and so fourth.
AI In the Health Care Industry
One existing application is in interpreting microscope images of cells. Another is in analysing data from electrocardiograms that can detect problems so slight that physicians can commonly overlook.
Of course AI should not completely replace people, but it seems to hold promise in assisting where people have trouble spotting patterns in data. Another advantage of AI is the sheer number of data points it can analysise. The great potential in AI is to allow people to self report and then build up patterns of data.
An example are Chatbots, such as HealthTap. These apply a sort of flow-chart asking questions until relevant data is obtained, and can both interpret questions and deliver answers.
